Comic Book Adaption
A film based on a comic book that is not an established superhero
EXAMPLE: Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, Road to Redemption, Ghost World

Superhero Film
This is a film based on estapblished comic book superheroes
EXAMPLE: Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Hellboy

Superhero
This is a comic book character typically costumed or "colorful" who fight larger than life villains

Antihero
An "everyman" hero that is typically a "real world" hero that is not larger than life or a superhero

Neutral Hero
This a typically larger than life character that is not necessarily a villain, but often has goals, while not evil, that are contrary to the protagonist's goals or has ambiguous goals. Sometimes a foe of the protagonist, but also occasionally an ally
